New Building Coming Soon!

Shao Family Dental Logo.

As of January 2024, our name will be changing to Shao Family Dental

Since moving to Anamosa in late 2018, we (Drs. Chong and Katie Shao) have felt so welcomed and appreciated by this community. In late 2019, we made the decision to permanently put down our roots in Anamosa and purchased the practice from Dr. Mike Warner. In these short five years we have gotten to know and have taken care of so many wonderful families.  Dr. Warner has always centered his practice around providing the best quality of care in a professional but caring environment and we are committed to the same values.  As such, our new name will be a symbol of our family’s commitment to our patients.  This practice has been and will continue to be privately owned by dentists that live within the community.

Our new building is under construction

You may have noticed recently that we have been a little bit cramped inside and our parking lot is always a little too full.  We love working closely with our staff and our patients but a little more space is always nice.  Early this year we began planning for a new building and in early November we broke ground.  You will see our new practice being built on the new Old Dubuque Road roundabout in Anamosa (right by the middle school) where we will have easy access in and out of Highway 151.  The new building is scheduled to be completed summer of 2024.  We will continue care as normal in our current location and will notify you of our transition into our new building when the time comes. We cannot wait to give you a tour!

We will be transitioning to a suite of new software systems

At the start of the year we will begin upgrades to our current software systems. Our new system overhaul will improve our record keeping, offer better patient communication, provide easier to fill out patient forms and reduce the amount of paper waste, just to name a few benefits.

Even though we are excited about all the benefit our new system will bring, transition of this size will have issues.  We would greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during our transition.

That’s it! Please feel free to contact our office with any questions.  Needless to say, we are all are very excited for what is to come, and we hope you are as well!

Sincerely,

— Drs. Chong and Katie Shao and all of us at Shao Family Dental
